Hannah Sims is New City’s Pastor of Connections & Care. She moved to downtown LA from Columbia, Missouri in 2012, after completing a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Missouri. She has immersed herself in her new community in a variety of ways—knit bombing, urban gardening (and briefly, urban poultry), bicycle repair and advocacy, Skid Row clean-up, and especially, volunteering however needed at New City Church. Hannah loves the restoration gospel, and is always seeking health, wellness, peace, and reconciliation in her messed-up community. In her down time, Hannah can be found reading feminist blogs, knitting, napping, reading Emily Dickinson poetry, or swerving through traffic on her beloved bicycle.
