JOIN US THIS SUNDAY
This week our own Cindy Lee will continue the Jeremiah series entitled, “The Inner Life of Jeremiah” from Jeremiah 20:7-18. In this message we look at the inner life of Jeremiah by taking a closer look at Jeremiah’s prayers. From the life of Jeremiah we can ask: (1) What gave Jeremiah the courage and strength to act on his convictions when no one else was listening? and (2) How do we sustain a life of faithfulness when we are surrounded by extreme injustices and oppression?
PARISH CORE TEAM MEETING
Last week, at our core meeting, we had an opportunity to complete a spiritual gifts assessment, with David Guyer. We are excited to see how God will use these gifts and talents he has lavished upon us. This week, at 5PM, Pastor Kevin will begin a mini-series on the parables of the upside down kingdom. The Envision Center address is 15055 Oxnard St, Van Nuys, CA 91411.
This Sunday, at 1:30 PM, come and join the family of New City Church as we celebrate this spiritual milestone. If you did not have an opportunity to sign-up, bring your items this Sunday, between 12:30-1:00 PM. We are in need of appetizers, desserts and beverages. I will have a cart in the lobby to accept contributions for both services. Thank you.
