A New Table And A New Temple

Preacher:
Series:
Passage: Luke 19:1-10, Ephesians 2:11-22

In this series on the Gospel “Third Way,” we’re contending at least two things: First, today, all across the United States, people are polarized. Even churches are polarized! Many in the United States are convinced there are only two types of Christians and two types of churches: Liberal or Conservative. But this isn’t just about political affiliation; this also has to do with our theology. But, at New City, we believe this duality is a false choice. The Gospel is neither inherently Conservative, nor inherently Liberal. Instead, we believe the Gospel leads us to a radical “Third Way” of being in the world.

Second, in this series, we’re also contending that the Gospel transforms everything! Everything in the Christian faith revolves around this Good News. That’s why, two weeks ago, Pastor Kevin preached on “Social Justice”. What does the Gospel have to do with social justice? A lot, it turns out! Because the Gospel affects everything! And last week, Pastor Kevin preached on Evangelism: How does the Gospel transform how we actually share this Good News? The Gospel even affects how we share the message!
