If God is all-powerful and loving and he is sovereign, what can we do to change anything? God’s got everything planned and everything in control; so, why should we pray? Is our prayer actually going to change God’s mind? Why should we pray for a revival? Doesn’t God do what he is going to do even if I don’t pray? If someone is ill, why should we pray for that person to get well? Doesn’t God have a loving plan for that person already? Why should our prayer matter to God? Does prayer really change things?
