T. C. is New City’s Associate Pastor. He’s a Jesus-disciple, husband, father, tech geek, and theology nerd. He is married to Osheta Moore, and together they parent three wonderful children. T. C. began following Jesus at 17 when God’s love rescued him from a self-destructive, criminal lifestyle. Since then he has served in Jesus’s counter-cultural movement in many roles and in several cities. He served as a pastoral intern in a campus ministry at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. After graduating from a Bible college specializing in urban ministry in New Orleans, T. C. and Osheta were married and moved into an under-resourced neighborhood called Hollygrove to mentor at-risk youth at a Christian community center. In 2005, the Moores lost nearly everything they owned to hurricane Katrina while Osheta was 9 months pregnant with their second child. They subsequently moved to Boston where T. C. studied urban ministry at Gordon-Conwell seminary. While in Boston, T. C. restarted a defunct faith-based mentoring program for at-risk youth at a Latino Baptist church in a neighborhood called Roxbury. In 2010, the Moores followed God’s leading to plant New City Church of Boston. T. C. served as the Church Planting Pastor of New City Boston before accepting the role of Associate Pastor at New City Church of Los Angeles in 2014.
