We looked at the stories of Jesus healing the leper and the paralyzed man. In their context, the disease didn’t just affect them physically; it affected them socially, emotionally, and spiritually. They felt despised by people around them, felt despised by God, and probably despised themselves. In a similar way, some of us are at a place where we feel a sense of despise for ourselves. How does Jesus respond to us when we feel that way?
