Our Grow and Serve Groups are at the heart of the church.
Grow + Serve Groups
Grow + Serve groups meet during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters and take a break for the summers. These community groups are the way we “do” church in a deeper, more relational way: we share meals and conversation, study and pray together, show up for one another, celebrate and have fun, and learn how to serve our neighbors together creatively. If you are on the fence about joining a G+S group this quarter, we encourage you to take the step and sign up.

Grow + Serve groups meet throughout Los Angeles — from Pasadena to the Valley. Some groups meet in the Church Offices in Downtown LA. Some groups offer a hybrid format (Zoom/in-person).

What are Grow+Serve Groups for?
New City Church seeks to be an inclusive, Gospel-centered community of lovers of Jesus Christ who connect people to God, grow together, serve the city, and extend God’s Kingdom. So, naturally, Grow + Serve groups seek to emulate that vision by being spaces of connection to God and one another, spaces of friendship, sharing, intellectual & spiritual growth, and communities of service in our neighborhoods.
How many people typically comprise a Grow+Serve Group?
Depending on the group, the size could range from 5-20 people.
How long do Grow+Serve groups run?
G+S groups run one quarter at a time, but most people also sign up for the same group the following quarters.
The Quarter Schedule:
- FALL 2024: September 8, 2024 – December 15, 2024
- WINTER 2025: February 9, 2023 – March 29, 2024
- SPRING 2024: April 15, 2024 – June 22, 2024
