New City is blessed to have so many incredibly gifted and servant-hearted members and regular attenders. That’s the way the Body of Christ works: Each member of the body uses his or her giftedness and servanthood to serve and build up the body. The body needs every part to function properly.
So often in Christian communities, when we hear of the opportunity to serve, we don’t think of gifts we have received from God and how we can use them to build up the body. Instead, we think someone else will fill that role. But the reality is, using the gifts God has given us to serve the body is a vital way we grow closer to God and God’s people.
