After being born in Michigan, Branden moved around several times in his younger years between Detroit, MI, Arlington, VA, Boston, MA, and Baltimore, MD. During that time, he worshiped in Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and non-denominational Christian churches. After finishing his studies at a Catholic high school in Detroit and college in the Bay Area, he moved to Los Angeles in 2009, where he met his wife Tina in 2017. Shortly after their dating commenced, he began attending New City Church in the summer of 2018. They got married in April 2020. He works as a director of finance in the entertainment industry. He has served as one of the NCC treasurers since July 2021 and has participated in several New City Church programs, including Deconstructing Anti-Black Narratives and the Leadership Development Program.
