New City Church of Los Angeles is a multi-ethnic, multi-socioeconomic Christian church in downtown LA. We are a diverse and inclusive community seeking to be like Jesus. We have roughly equal numbers of Blacks, Whites, Asians, and Latinos; about a third of us come from Skid Row, and the rest come from downtown lofts and outside of downtown; we are families, singles, and kids, Democrats and Republicans, gay and straight, poor and rich, moral and loose. At New City, we believe in not judging anyone because we know that we ourselves are more flawed and broken than we know—yet more loved and accepted by God through Jesus than we ever thought possible! Vision About Us -
WHAT IF THE CHURCH LOOKED LIKE JESUS
-
To Love and Serve
What if the church radically LOVED and SERVED one another, our neighbors, and stood with those who are marginalized for JUSTICE?
What is Easterfest? What is Trust Talks? -
Broken but Loved by God
What if we admitted that We are more MESSED UP than we know, but more LOVED by God through Jesus Christ than we can imagine!
What We Believe More About Us -
A Diverse & Inclusive Church
We are multi-ethnic (no dominant ethnic group), multi-socioeconomic (no dominant socioeconomic group), egalitarian (all genders), and inclusive of LGBTQ (without limitation). Why? Because God loves us all and calls us to love one another!

Love, Mercy, and Justice
We seek to be a church that radically loves and serves one another and our neighbors, and stands for justice with those who are marginalized, because this is what Christ does.
Church Diversity Profile -
Centered on Jesus Christ
Jesus lived among us as one of us, died for our sins to redeem us, rose from death, and is coming again to fully restore the world God loves. This is central to our faith. We agree on the gospel essentials, allow room for disagreement on non-essentials, & choose love - no matter what.
Tell Me More About Being Gospel-Centered -
Inclusive
What if people of all races, loft dwellers and skid row residents, liberals and conservatives, LGBTQ and heterosexual people CAME TOGETHER because of our common brokenness and need for redemption?
