Many of us live a life with an undercurrent of desperation arising out of financial, relational, physical, or emotional issues. But, there is hope in Jesus Christ. When the bleeding woman in today’s passage heard about Jesus—that he can heal—she made up her mind to go to him for healing. She was desperate for Jesus. Are we desperate for Jesus? Are we seeking Jesus and putting our faith in him? When we do so, he doesn’t just heal us and meet our felt needs, he saves us, engages in a relationship with us, and gives us shalom, true peace.
