One mistaken view is that work is a curse. Our goal often is to work as little as possible and spend as much time as possible on leisure. We think of work as bad, or a necessary evil, but leisure as good. Sometimes, people theologize this and believe that God cursed work after the Fall of Adam. But, if you look at the Genesis account, God gave Adam work to do (to take care of the garden and have authority of all creation by having the power to name them) before the Fall. God’s original intent for human being included work. I think there will be work in heaven! We were not designed for leisure only. Now, God told us to also rest on the seventh day, but God also told us to work.
