Let me give you a little background as to where we are. The people were praying for the Holy Spirit to come. And the Spirit came in a powerful way. Thousands of people repent and become followers of Jesus. They experienced all kinds of miracles, but the focus of the community was on the teachings of the Apostles, on fellowship, on worship, and on prayer. It was a radical community where people become outrageously generous and shared everything with one another.
