The Christian world is full of prosperity preachers. They preach that if we have enough faith, if we name it and claim it, if we give enough to their ministry, God will bless us with material riches. Some of them drive fancy cars, live in mansions, and flaunt their wealth and say, “Look at me. Look what God can do.” They preach that God wants us live a comfortable life with material prosperity.

The prosperity gospel is a disease that twists the real gospel of Jesus Christ because (1) it misuses faith; (2) it is not biblical; and (3) it makes us self-absorbed about our own comfort. Ultimately, it is abusive and leads to materialism and idolatry.
