Nowhere is bad leadership more detrimental, and more rampant, than in the church... capitol “C”. (I’m not talking about New City here). What is it about the Church that makes it such a breeding ground for toxic environments? What is it about a bad church leader that makes him so much worse than a bad lacrosse couch? It’s because when the Christian stands up in front of a church, the cross is behind him. In other words, there is the perception that the Christian leader is a representative of God. Suddenly, his words carry more weight.
