What I want to do today is to give you a sense of where we are now—sort of give you a state of the church. So, the title of the message today is, “The Best is Yet to Come.”

I want to start out with a few passages that helps us put what I will together:

Mark 1:14-15 say:

14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news (gospel) of God. 15 “The time has come, he said, “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Philippians 1:4-6

4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
