Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom. His Kingdom turns the world right side up, reversing injustice, bringing peace and unity. John saw a glimpse of the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God in heaven through a vision (Revelation 7.9‐17). There, he saw people from every tribe, nation, and language group, worshipping Jesus. They were saved “through tribulation”. God is in the business of building a multiethnic, multicultural Kingdom that overcomes tribulation. Jesus himself was a multicultural, multiethnic person. His blood was multiethnic blood—and he shed that blood for us, to establish a multiethnic, multicultural Kingdom of worshippers.
