This Sunday, John Fox continues our series in the book of Ecclesiastes titled “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” with a sermon called “Why Do They Do That?” on Ecclesiastes 8:11–17. In this passage, Kohelet says he sees injustice around him and tells us to enjoy life. How do we live faithfully and joyfully before God in the presence of that injustice and when we don’t understand? What are the injustices in our community? What do we struggle to understand? How are we to live with one another and be joyful witnesses in our community to our faith in the face of those things? We will explore Kohelet’s thoughts on those questions.
