You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet
Jesus told his those who were interested: (1) come and see; (2) follow me; and (3) you ain’t seen nothing yet.
(1) Come and see. Jesus is calling us to come and think. It’s okay to doubt and ask questions. He is inviting us to stay with him and get to know him better. We can do that through the Gospel of John. Kevin discussed why the Gospel of John is reliable historical reportage about Jesus.
(2) Follow me. Jesus is calling us not to be his fan, but his follower. Are you a fan or a follower? Kevin discussed several tests to determine if you are a fan or a follower.
(3) You ain’t seen nothing yet. Many of us started to follow Jesus because of something we came to realize about Jesus, but Jesus is saying he’s got a lot more coming. We ain’t seen nothing yet. We are going to see heaven open. We are going to see the glory of Jesus.
