This sermon is an introduction to the series on Wisdom for Life, a study of the Book of Proverbs.  Some preliminary questions are answered:

Why is wisdom so important?  Even if we have wealth, fame, power, knowledge, and good morals, but we do not have wisdom, our lives would be disastrous.

What is wisdom?  It is more than knowledge or moral living.  Wisdom is seeing reality of what is really going on and determining what to do about it.

How do we read Proverbs?  “Proverbs are not universal truths that are always relevant and rightly applied; rather they are context-sensitive.” –Tremper Longman

Who is wisdom personified?  The greatest revelation of God’s wisdom is in Christ, the Wisdom Incarnate (in flesh).
